Justin Lockey is a multidisciplinary Artist - A musician, producer, director, composer and writer. Perhaps best known as the lead guitarist and recording artist for Editors. More recently he has created, written and scored Audible’s 5 star rated sci-fi drama The Salvation, led by an all-star cast featuring Ariyon Bakare, Rose Leslie and Toby Jones which is now in production for TV. Alongside this he has been busy scoring other tv series.

Film and photography has been central to his practice throughout his career. Conceiving the artistic vision and directing music videos for recording artists including Frightened Rabbit & Mogwai, working alongside his brother James Lockey at Hand Held Cine Club.

In recent years Lockey has become an advocate for better awareness of musicians mental health, talking openly about his own battles with anxiety as a touring musician.

His exhibition ‘The Passenger’ marks Lockey’s first solo photographic exhibition. Often using photography as crutch, his imagery allows him to document and reflect on his own mental health through the safety of a lens.
