Paul Popelier was born in 1967 and lives and works in Antwerp. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, he carved out a succesful career in both advertising and graphic design. From an early age on, he has had a great affection for stories, in any form or shape, whether they be told visually or textually. Combining words and images is an integral part of his design process, as it assumes an approach that has substance and tends to lead to a design solution that avoids the superficial. Paul likes to think he writes better than he talks and creates images that are less boring than his wardrobe.

‘These are some stories’ is his first self-penned publication and art exhibition. He thoroughly enjoyed endlessly doubting even the most minor detail.
